Dr. John Cole received a BS in Animal Science and Conservation from Cornell University in 1971. DVM degree from Cornell University received in 1975. He has been with Rome Animal Hospital, serving his local community, for the past 34+ years.

Dr. Vinod Sontineni received his DVM from Nagpur Veterinary College, Central India in 2004. After his graduation Dr. Sontineni continued to pursue his education at Texas A&M University where he received a Masters in Molecular Biology, 2007. Following his Masters work Dr. Sontineni did an externship with the Philadelphia PSPCA for 10 months. Dr. Sontineni joined Rome Animal Hospital in 2008, and he lives locally with his wife and daughter.

Dr. Sontineni has a special interest in emergency medicine and diagnostic ultrasound.

Heather Mayers, DVM
Heather Mayers, DVM

Dr. Heather Mayers received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University in 2006. After graduation, she spent two years working in a large animal practice in Northern NY followed by two years in an equine practice in the Hudson Valley. In November 2010, Dr. Mayers returned to Central NY to be closer to her family. Dr. Mayers works part-time at both Shop City and Rome Animal Hospitals.
