Welcome to Sacajawea Healthcare for Pets. We are a full service companion animal hospital in Federal Way, Washington. We see dogs, cats, birds, chickens, rabbits, ferrets, and many small mammals (rats, hamsters, hedgehogs, etc) We are committed to providing the highest quality, compassionate veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for healthy younger pets, early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages, and complete medical, surgical and dental care as necessary during his or her lifetime.
We understand the special role your pet plays in your family and we are dedicated to becoming your partner in your pet's healthcare. We treat your pet as we would our own, and we make you a part of your pet's healthcare by thoroughly explaining your pet's health condition and all of the treatment options. Our goal is to practice the highest quality medicine and surgery with compassion, and it takes teamwork to realize this goal. Our entire healthcare team is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each individual pet owner.
Dr. Harris received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University. He established Sacajawea Healthcare for Pets in 1977. In a quest to provide the most complete healthcare possible for dogs, cats, birds and small mammals, he has developed a variety of interests, including internal medicine, surgery, ultrasonography, avian and exotic medicine, and behavioral consultation.
Dr. Harris enjoys time with his wife, two adult children, and "granddogs and grandkitties". When possible, he spends time reading, writing, running, hiking, and playing music.
Dr. Morlan, a native of Germany, is a graduate of Kansas State University. She joined the staff at Sacajawea in 2002. Doctor Morlan is well versed in all aspects of veterinary medicine, including geriatrics, urology, gastroenterology, and surgery.
Dr Morlan shares her house with her husband, her daughter, an elderly Pug dog, and a number of cats.
Dr. Thomas is a graduate of Michigan State University, and a recent transplant to the Northwest. Interests include internal medicine, dentistry, radiology, and clinical pathology.
She enjoys travel, and has had experiences with animals in South Africa and India. Dr Thomas also enjoys all the outdoor activities that the Northwest has to offer.
She lives with her husband, her Great Dane, and two cats.
Dr. Crouthers comes to Sacajawea Healthcare for Pets from Oregon. She is passionate about veterinary medicine and surgery. Dr Crouthers is committed to buidling a strong, trusted relationship with every owner to help provide the best heatlhcare to each pet she sees.read more
