Established in 1976, Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital is a member of Monroe Veterinary Associates, an organization comprised of multiple full service veterinary hospitals, a 24-hour pet emergency facility with an extensive in house veterinary diagnostic laboratory, a veterinary specialty referral center (including Board Certified Veterinary Surgeons, Internal Medicine Specialists, a Critical Care Specialist, Veterinary Ophthalmologist, Cardiologist and Radiologist, as well as an Animal Rehabilitation Center, and a Mobile House-Call service. We also have an on-line veterinary pharmacy available for your convenience. As an added benefit, there is also a full-service Grooming Salon located within the facility.
Located in Rochester NY, the veterinarians and staff at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital practice the highest quality medicine, while servicing our clientele with honesty and compassion. We believe in quality, not quantity, and are a family oriented veterinary practice.
Our hospital staff consists of 4 Veterinarians (an on-site practicing Hospital Director and 3 Veterinary Associates), a Hospital Manager, Licensed Veterinary Technicians, Animal Care Assistants, Client Service Representatives, and Pet Care Providers. We believe in preventative medicine, and encourage annual wellness examinations for your pet. For senior pets, we recommend a wellness exam twice a year. We encourage our clients to ask questions and become actively involved in the health care of their pets.

Dr. Linda Banks is the hospital director at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital. She has cared for pets at the hospital since 1994 and enjoys working with the pets, clients and staff members that make up the Stone Ridge Family.
Dr. Banks attended Cornell University and received her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science in 1985. She continued her education at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. She went on to complete an internship at the Animal Hospital of Pittsford and remained there as a staff veterinarian for four years before moving to Stone Ridge.
A member of the Buffalo Academy of Veterinary Medicine, the Genesee Valley Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association, Dr. Banks has a professional interest in soft tissue surgery. She strongly believes in veterinary continuing education and usually exceeds the number of required course hours every year.
When she's not busy with her many duties at the hospital, Dr. Banks enjoys spending time with her family, human and animal! She currently has a Boxer named Diesel, two cats named Batman and Midnight, and a 50-gallon fish tank. She loves cooking new recipes and tackling new home improvement projects when she has the time. As a Christian, her faith and spirituality are an important part of her life.
A general practitioner at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital since 2001, Dr. Susan Lewis is a Rochester native and first worked at the hospital as a kennel attendant and animal care attendant from 1988 to 1998.
She attended SUNY at Geneseo and received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology in 1994. Dr. Lewis continued her education at the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. Dr. Lewis achieved the title of Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner in August 2010, making her a certified animal rehabilitator.
Small animal medicine, sports medicine, Greyhound medicine and general exotics medicine/wellness care are among her many professional interests. She is a member of the American Canine Sports Medicine Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Genessee Valley Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Lewis' animal companions include Rasta, a mixed-breed dog she adopted while attending Ross University in St. Kitts; Haille, a Greyhound from Oklahoma, and two cats, Lia (also from St. Kitts) and Simon. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling (especially to the Caribbean), gardening, baking, and spending time with friends and family. She especially likes going out on hikes with her dogs and her husband, Kevin Lewis. Susan and Kevin welcomed their first child Robert in March 2009.
