Dr. Romina Cohen
Dr. Romina Cohen

is our latest addition to Tango Animal Hospital. She is a veterinarian graduated in 2004 from the University of Chile. She went through a very strict certification process and now she is fully licensed to practice in the States. She used to own and manage her own practice back in Chile, where she practiced small animal medicine, performed surgeries and ultrasounds, but most of all, she loved her clients and their pets.

Dr. Cohen grew up in Valparaiso/ Vina del Mar area. The closes beach town away from Santiago (The capital). She spent most of her childhood days playing with cousins and friends and her beloved, medium size poodle “Yiyo” who triggered her passion for animals and her desire to become a veterinarian.

Dr. Cohen met her husband doing yoga in Chile and they moved to DC with their 2 children in late December 2008. They brought with them their 2 dogs: “Snoopy” an adorable, fluffy Japanese Spitz and “Sammy” a lovely, spoiled Fox Terrier wire hair 5 years ago, they added another baby girl and 1 cat: 16 years old rescue tortoise named Wednesday and last year they adopted a tabby kitten named Sanchez making their family complete! Dr. Cohen and her family are avid Washington Nationals fans. They love soccer, biking, karate, swimming, yoga and Pilates.
