Veterinary medicine is not just my job, it is my avocation. I enjoy all aspects of small animal practice, especially surgery, internal medicine, and canine reproduction/breeding. Waynesville is my hometown, and I returned here in 1988 to practice veterinary medicine after receiving my veterinary degree from Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine. In 1996 I led the Animal Hospital of Waynesville to become the first AAHA accredited practice West of Asheville because I wanted to make sure my hospital provided top notch veterinary medical care to my patients and excellent service to my clients.I have 2 daughters: Jesse Marie and Savannah, and an assortment of pets. In my free time, I enjoy horseback riding, hiking, travel, reading and being Mom to my daughters.

While I involve myself in nearly all aspects of small animal practice, my particular interests are internal medicine and ophthalmology. I earned my veterinary degree from North Carolina State University in 1994 and began practice at The Animal Hospital of Waynesville. Fairfax, Virginia, is my hometown but I have strong family ties to the North Carolina coast. My husband, Adam Bull, is an attorney in Asheville. We have two sons, Nathan and Andrew, and a daughter, Lindsey. We also have 2 dogs, 2 cats, a guinea pig, and a fish. Outside of veterinary medicine, I enjoy spending time with my family at the lake and on ballfields and basketball courts throughout North Carolina.

I grew up in Northwest Ohio and received my degree in veterinary medicine from The Ohio State University. I practiced veterinary medicine in Ohio for a couple of years before relocating to the Waynesville area in the spring of 2009 to enjoy the beautiful mountains of North Carolina and this great city. I enjoy every aspect of veterinary medicine, especially helping my patients avoid major health problems and grow old gracefully through education and preventive medicine. Outside of the hospital I enjoy every imaginable outdoor activity, even more so if the activity allows me to bring along my two rescued boxers Diesel and Lexi. I look forward to continuing to discover what the area has to offer and getting to know the people that make this area great.

I am a native of Haywood County and began working at the Animal Hospital of Waynesville as a kennel assistant in high school and continued working at A.H.O.W. through vet school. I majored in Animal Science at NC State and graduated from The North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After being away for several years going to school then working at Parkway Animal Hospital in Cary NC, we relocated back to Waynesville. My veterinary interests include surgery, dentistry, dermatology, and reproduction, but enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine. I am active in church activities including the choir. I am married to Hunter and we have two sons, Bradley and William, two pugs, Brutus and Sparticus, and one cat, Gertie. Other interests include watching the boys grow and change, running, camping, cooking, entertaining family and friends, and crocheting.

I am excited to be the most recent Veterinarian addition to the A.H.O.W. team. I am Canadian and grew up in British Columbia. After completing a BS in biology I spent several years working in wildlife research and received my Master’s degree in Wildlife Science at Louisiana State University. I realized that I wanted a closer relationship with animals and began working as an assistant at the Animal Hospital of Waynesville. The following year returned to Canada to study Veterinary Medicine at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, SK. I am happy to be back in W.N.C. with my husband, Joe and our 2 dogs Stetson and Catalina. We enjoy spending time outdoors and staying active.
