Dr. Dhama has been practicing in Southern California since he graduated from Atlantic Veterinary College. University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), Canada in 2000. Dr. Dhama also earned his Master's of Science Degree in Veterinary Microbiology from UPEI. He has vast experience in animal research and clinical practice. Dr. Dhama has been a part of the VCA family for 8 years now.read more
Dr Guirguis received her Bachelor of Science degree and graduated with honors from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 2004. She received her veterinary degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona and graduated in May 2008. Dr Guirguis grew up in Southern California and has resided in California all of her life. Aside from practicing veterinary medicine, she enjoys spending time with family, playing sports and taking care of her pets (a Basset Hound, salt water fish and a turtle).read more
Dr. Andrew Lewis is a local to Southern California, having been raised in the San Fernando Valley. He completed both his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with an emphasis in medical microbiology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at UC Davis in 2003. Dr. Lewis enjoys working with both dogs and cats, and he has developed a special interest in internal medicine, dermatology, and ultrasound imaging of the abdomen and heart. He is an active member of the California and Southern California Veterinary Medical Associations, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
As a veterinarian, Dr. Lewis dedicates himself to regular continuing education in order to deliver the finest care to his patients. He enjoys teaching his clients and discussing cases to help develop the entire patient-client-doctor relationship. One of his favorite philosophies is to teach it, and not just prescribe it. His hobbies include tennis, computers, scrabble, playing with his Cocker Spaniel and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and every other free minute with his lovely wife and amazing daughter. Dr. Jen Kumar is a native of Massachusetts who received a B.A. in biology from Wellesley College. She then moved to Philadelphia to obtain her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2009. After graduation, she followed her husband to southern California and completed a small and exotic animal rotating internship at Animal Surgical and Emergency Center in Los Angeles. As a dedicated New Englander, Dr. Kumar is learning to enjoy the warm weather and perfect beaches of Orange County. She is currently pet-free, but would like to find a furry forever friend in the near future. Her academic interests include internal medicine, exotic animal emergency medicine, and critical care.read more
Prior to coming to VCA Aacacia Dr. Carlson was with VCA Rancho Mirage Animal Hospital. She has over 20 years of experience which 17 of them she owned her own practice. She enjoys horese and traveling.
