Dr. Phillips was born and raised in Lanesborough, Massachusetts and currently resides in Stockbridge. She graduated from UMass Amherst in 1980 with a degree in animal science. After that, she went to Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with her doctorate in 1984. She has been practicing veterinary medicine for 25 years. Starting in 1988, Dr. Phillips was primarily doing housecalls - seeing pets at their own homes. She came on part-time at All Caring when the hospital first opened in 1998, and became full-time when the hospital joined with V.C.A. in 2006. She is now also the medical director of the hospital, as well as a primary veterinarian here. Dr. Phillips has a special interest in homeopathy. She took the Animal Natural Health Center Professional Course in Veterinary Homeopathy for 3 years, then did 2 summers of courses with the National Center for Homeopathy. She completed the New England School of Homeopathy program in 2002. Dr. Phillips has been very successful with her use of homeopathy in treating animals. She recently became Reiki Master certified as well. Dr. Phillips is the proud mother of 3 sons - Elia, Sam, and Sergio. She lives in Stockbridge with her sons, her dog Tina, 4 cats, and several chickens. In her free time she enjoys hiking and biking.
