Dr. Charles Garneau-So

Charles was born in Quebec City, QC and moved to Ottawa, ON 23 years ago. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology from University of Ottawa in 2009. He then went to University College Dublin (Ireland) to earn his veterinary degree. He started working at a busy 24/7 emergency hospital in Canada since graduating. After two years, he decided to move to the Delaware/Maryland area. When his significant other got a residency at Texas A&M, he decided to move with her. He just recently joined the team at VCA Kelliwood. His hobbies include cycling and hiking. He is also a certified PADI scuba diver. At home, he rescued a retired racing greyhound named Maggie. She is 7 years old and full of life.

"I have been interested in animal health since I had my first family dog. When I was 11 years old I asked our family Veterinarian to volunteer and he took me on. I started as a kennel assistant and worked my way to become a Veterinarian. Since being in the field from a very young age, I have observed the many aspects of veterinary medicine. My goal is to help families through their pet's health by being approachable, compassionate and knowledgeable."
