Veterinary School: University of Wisconsin-Madison
I have been working here since June of 2007 and my favorite part of working at VCA Pahle is serving all the wonderful clients and their pets. I also enjoy working with the wonderful staff.
I grew up in Columbus Wisconsin with two older brothers and one younger one. One is now a teacher and one is a chiropractor in Hartford Wisconsin. My parents still live and work in Columbus.
My undergraduate work was done at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and I graduated from vet school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I worked for a few years in Colorado before moving back home to Wisconsin.
When I'm not at the hospital, I enjoy any activity outside. (fly fishing, ice fishing, fishing, camping, skiing downhill and cross country, hiking, kayaking etc.)
My wife is an equine veterinarian and we live with our chocolate lab, Lupa and a cat named Popcorn.
Veterinary School: University of Wisconsin-Madison
I have been a Veterinarian at VCA Pahle Animal Hospital since September 2011. The best part of my job is getting to interact with the patients and their families. Also, the wonderful staff here at Pahle.
I was born in Milwaukee, WI and graduated from the vet school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My favorite subject was animal behavior.
My hobbies away from the hospital are reading, biking, swimming, traveling, spending time with my 9-year-old god-daughter, Jocelyn, and skiing.
I have one older brother, Ken, who is an author and teaches English Composition to college freshman. My mom, Barb, is a speaker and author. My father, Charlie, is a retired school teacher.
My favorite pet is my 15-year-old orange tabby named Tigger. He is the sweetest cat I've ever owned and likes to sleep on my head at night. I also have a second kitty named Farley.
If I could meet anyone, living or dead, it would be my grandfather on my dad's side because he died of heart disease before I was born.
My favorite holiday is Christmas because it is the only holiday that my entire family is together to celebrate including relatives from Seattle, New Orleans and Santa Barbara, CA.
Veterinary School: Kansas State University
I have been an Associate Veterinarian at VCA Pahle Animal Hospital since September 2006.
I really enjoy the close relationships that I have developed over the years with our clients and their family (pets). we are also blessed with a dedicated, knowledgeable and supportive staff that makes our jobs easier.
I was born in Arlington, Texas - Home of the Texas Rangers & Dallas Cowboys and yes I am a lifelong fan of both, but have learned to love and support the Brewers & Packers too.
I attended the University of Texas-Arlington for my Bachelors - studying architecture & biology. I attended Kansas State University for my Doctorate and really enjoyed in depth internal medicine cases as well as orthopedic surgery.
I generally enjoy a lot of outdoor activities including golf, beach volleyball, hiking/backpacking, camping, fishing on Lake Michigan, snowboarding, running when chased, and travel (beaches or mountains preferred, but anywhere is good too). However, I can be lazy and enjoy a good cup of coffee, tea or beer and watching TV too.
Most of my family still lives in Texas - I have an older sister and two younger step-brothers - and I am the proud uncle to two nephews (Grayson & Will).
I am proud of a number of accomplishments in my life including becoming an Eagle Scout, becoming a Veterinarian and certainly discovering my faith in God.
I currently have two cats (down from 2 dogs, 4 cats & a rat) - Charlotte is an all white sweet, shy and talkative domestic short haired kitty & Riley is a three-legged orange Maine Coon kitty who seems a little slow at times, but I love him dearly. One of my favorite pets was my pet rat - Wheezie - she was such a character, the cats were scared of her and she would come to you when called.
My favorite holidays are any in which we get family together and certainly get to enjoy some good food and fellowship together. Thanksgiving & Christmas mainly.
